Post Unexpected cell sizing beside a verticall spanning component
not entire sure if that's a bug or I'm missing something obvious, so asked a question over at SO with full details, pluggable code snippet, screenshots:

Try "spany 4" and see if that helps.

The problem is that the last line in the grid gets all the extra space that the text area requires.

This could probably be handled better and I'll put it in the work queue to see if something can be done about it for the general case.

Edit: your suggestion triggered an idea which works - define a number of row constraints > the number of actual rows

new MigLayout("wrap 3, debug", "", "[][][][]");


not really workable for dynamic form creation, but maybe this observation might help you find a fix
